Full House Poker: play poker on WP7 and Xbox 360

Full House Poker ($ 2.99, Trial)
Full House Poker released last week on Windows Phone 7 App marketplace. The latest Xbox Live enabled game is a hit, jumping at number 3 in the top paid apps, and receiving great reviews with a 4.5 stars average and more than a hundred reviews.
Full House Poker is one of the first examples of cross platform Xbox Live gaming: the game is available on WP7 as well as on Xbox 360 as an Arcade game; you share the experience points as well as the hard-earned chips across the 360 and the phone. The Achievements are separate, though, so you can stack up 400 cheevos if you own and complete both games. There are no multiplayer interactions on WP7, though: this is a single player game for the phone.
Full House Poker is a just good Texas Hold’em game; you play with your avatar against a table of poker players.  Gameplay mechanics are what you would expect: swipe the card to fold, slide a gauge to bet more chips and press the all-in button when you are ready to bust someone out. There are two main modes: Standard Game and Tournament. In the Standard Game, you can buy more chips if you run out; in Tournament your goal is to eliminate all the players, and if you reach 0 chips, you are out. Pro Takedown is the final game mode: you face several pros with different game styles and try to knock them all out, until you get to the final all-pro tournament.

Verdict (version reviewed: 1.1.0.0)
Overall, Full House Poker is a very good poker game for your Windows Phone, packed with a lot of value for a $2.99 game, with the different game types, and of course the Xbox Live Achievements and Leaderboards. Pin it to your start menu for some Texas hold’em fun.
